Paris Gun
The Paris Gun was the name given to a type of German long-range artillery piece, several of which were used to bomb Paris during World War I. They were in service from March to August 1918. When first used, the people of Paris believed they had been bombed by a high-altitude Zeppelin because there was no sound of an Aeroplane engine of a Gun Firing.
