Lewis Gun
The Lewis gun is a World War I light machine gun that was originally an American design that was perfected and widely used by the British Empire. It was first used in World War I and stayed in service till the end of the Korean War.

The Lewis had one conventional advantage over the traditional machine gun, this was being light and portable. So later in the war when troops went over the top they had a fighting chance if they carried the Lewis Gun.
It was commonly in aircraft as it was light and had a high fire rate. It was also used as anti-aircraft fire due to how low the aircraft where in the First World War.
The British Mark IV used the Lewis Gun instead of using the heavier Vickers Machine Gun like previous version.
The famous Sopwith Camel used the Lewis Gun as its primary armament
